Use Karwa Chauth vrat and evening puja
Who is worshipped
Karwa Chauth is one of the most cherished Vedic vrats, observed by married women for the long life and wellbeing of their husbands. The fast begins before sunrise with sargi and is broken only after sighting the moon through a chalni in the evening — a ritual of devotion, patience, and marital bond passed down through generations.
How to use in puja
1. Begin the day with sargi before sunrise. 2. In the evening, arrange the thali with roli, moli, rice, mishri, batashe, panch mewa, and devi shringar. 3. Light the diya, ghee jyot, dhoop, and agarbatti. 4. Perform the Karwa Chauth katha using the puja vidhi booklet, and pass the thali in a circle during the ritual. 5. After moonrise, view the moon through the chalni, then your husband's face, offer water (arghya), and break the fast.
Set up the puja thali on a clean, elevated surface in your prayer space or living area facing the moon-rise direction in the evening. Wipe the karwa and thali dry after use and store in a clean, dry place — brass and steel items can be reused every year with proper care.
